#2323-To Spalatin
To the highly renown man, Herr Georg Spalatin, Bishop of the Church in Meissen, in the Lord his very dear brother.

Grace and peace in Christ! God wants it so to be done, my worthy Spalatin, that according to the will of the Prince, to summon you here. Therefore I ask you that on the day of Innocent Children (Dec.28) or on the following day after the birth of Christ that you be here in order to deal with what must be dealt with. However, not at your expense when you are here. However, you might keep it to yourself, if you can, and give other reasons for your absence. Be it well with you.Your Martin Luther,D.
