#1940-The Council of Soest to ML

The Editors of St. Louis Edition provide the summary of Kolde of this letter which gives thanks for the care of Joh. Brunz as superintendent and requests instructions from ML on the machinations of Joh. von Campen about which ML had warned them. #1938 and #1939 are to Jonas von Stockhausen commander in Nordhausen and to the wife of Stockhausen respectiviely which are in Volume X of the St. Louis Edition. This for new readers who may have noticed the gap in numbering. I haven't been venturing much out of Vol.xxia.Why some letters are in other volumes I haven't learned yet . Perhaps related to the subjects covered in those volumes?
